Reflection -84

The
day we receive Jesus Christ as our Savior is one of the greatest days of our
lives. Not only are our sins washed away, but God puts His Spirit inside of us
and gives us new desires. -
Joyce Meyer
“If we could see the miracle of a single flower
our whole lives would change”- Buddha.
Sunflower is the
national flower of Russia. Why is that flower called Sunflower? When any
stumbling blocks come, Sunflower is able to overcome and grow straight to the
sun. If that’s bud wand to be blossomed the sunlight is needed. Because the
sunflower’s metaphysics based on the sunlight. So the sunflower always focuses
the sun.
In the gospel of St. Matthew 8:23-27 we would
read “Jesus stills the storm”. While Jesus and His disciples are traveling by
the boat, the storm happens. All the disciples who are afraid, and don’t know
what can do. But our leader or Guru the Jesus Christ was asleep. Eventually,
they are called their master and presented the particular problem. Let’s
imagine that situation; it was surely very dangerous and pathetic. So their
actions would have been a sudden action. In the gospel we would see, disciples
are wailing; “lord save us, we are
perishing.” It is indeed a well model before all of us. Often we may not be
calling our lord Jesus when we should call Him. At the moment, we usually
approach our friends, companions, and anyone else. In the context of the bible,
Jesus knew that, they would call Him. So that he slept in the boat. We can
compare our life into a boat He is sleeping in the boat which is our life.
He really likes to hear a call from us. When strong temptations and irritations
come in our life don’t be afraid to call his name. "who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become
children of god.” (John 1:12). But most of the time we don’t think about
Him due to our unawareness. As we saw in the life of Sunflower that always
focuses the Sun. it shows which is thankful and always being with the presence
of the real light of the world, not Sun but son of God, that is Jesus Christ.
Likewise, as a seminarian, we are living based on our Lord Jesus. That’s not
about it. Often this direction may be changed into worldly things. At the
situation, we may forget to call Him. Let’s reflect on it, what are the reasons
or situations behind it?
And mainly meditate upon it, am I living a life
which is focused on Jesus? What are the reasons behind it? What can I do as a
solution? God may give us much courage to call Him, towards our needs.
