Reflection - 69

(Mt 6: 9-14)
This is the prayer which was taught by Jesus Christ to his disciples. Through this passage we can understand that prayer is an important thing in the life of the disciples of Jesus. Prayer is the communication between God and me. Through prayer each person gets power to live in this world. As a seminarian as well as the future priest we all should have great and deep relationship God. When we go through the life of saints we can see that they had a deep relationship with God, which enabled them to fight against the temptations of the world. Prayer became basic source of the life of every saints.

Three qualities are very important to lead a good prayerful life. They are faith, hope and love. We should have deep faith in God. If we do not have faith we cannot make a relationship with God, and also without faith we cannot see God.

Hope is another important virtue, which enables us to live for Jesus Christ. Hope helps us to think about the future world that we are expecting, and this hope helps to avoid all the worldly things from our life.

Another important virtue is love. It helps everyone to live for others like Jesus. He offered himself as a sacrifice for the sins of entire humanity because of love. Love does not angry and also it does not make others to angry. In these three qualities love is most important virtue.

We all should have these three qualities then only we can live for others. If we do not have deep relationship with God, we cannot do anything for others. Our prayer should become action, then only we can find satisfaction in our activities, otherwise we cannot be happy in this world. Prayer rises from the silence of the heart. Through this prayer only we can glorify God. So dear brothers, today onwards let us try to make a good relationship with God through our prayer life.
