Reflection-90
Today we are going to
meditate upon few points in connection with this passage. We see the different attitude
of Jesus when he entered into the temple of Jerusalem. He gets angry by seeing
the wrongdoings happening in the temple. He wanted the temple to be cleaned
always from all mischievous acts. My first point to reflect is that how we
behave in our chapel? Are we worried about the cleanliness of the temple of our
Lord? Do we also engage in wrongdoings while we are in the chapel?
Second point is that
does experience brings blocks in our relationships with God? In the Old
Testament we see the Israelite s worshiping God with full heart and full mind.
They did only good actions while they were in the temple in those days. But as
time passed and the people got more experience they started to go away from God
and by the time of Jesus they use temple as a place where things are sold or as
a market. Is it too our problem? When we were in the minor seminary did we have
more devotion than what we have now? Let us think over this point.
People asked Jesus who
is you to do such things here. By the reply of Jesus it was clear that Jesus
had the power to do such actions. Dear friends we also have the power within
us. We are specially chosen by the God and He has given power to us to keep His
temple holy always. By this we should become models for others. Let us take a
decision that we should be a model for others to know how to behave in the
chapel.
Wish you all a fruitful
meditation.
